she looks anywhere

at anyone

for a touch

to feel flesh

something warm

to feel anything

to feel life

to feel alive

aching for connection

there is emptiness all around her

in her

a void she longs for someone to fill

there is nothing more heartbreaking…than a love that was lost

haunting memories on replay

a bed half slept in

a scent left behind

she feels so small

the empty spaces drown her…like a single star in the midnight sky 

she is so, so lonely
