OMG it has been such a rough week! It’s Wednesday and this is my first blog post. I actually have a bunch in drafts but my mind really hasn’t been in a place where I can actually make any sense.

I got rocked this past Sunday…car accident. It came completely out of no where. But that’s how accidents work right? Have you ever been in one? My heart was racing and my hands were shaking. I saw this SUV come straight at me and I’m this little person in this little car. OMG. Nothing like being hit when you’re at a full stop at a stop sign lol. Funny now but I was freaken out!

To top that off, I was gonna trade in my car for something more suitable for my family…meaning my dogs ha ha. But now, all the equality is gone 😦 Wanna know what’s even worst? My insurance company sucks! I had to call them myself after I already filed a claim. I’ve never been in an accident and was asked by the person who took my claim Sunday, “where is your car going to be so an inspection can be done.”  I said home so I assumed someone was coming out. Waited most of the day and nothing. If I didn’t call they probably wouldn’t have called me till who knows when. Going on day 4 and no adjuster has called me back. And I was told I have to call the other parties insurance to find out if they will pay for my rental. Why do I pay $140-ish  a month for insurance again???? I guess a few tickets will really screw you. So not worth it people. But 2 of my tickets were just crap. They were just looking to get anyone for any little thing. Money is money for them. I am to busy to spend my day in court proving the cop was just looking to pull someone over. That’s not on the top of my priority list.

Lesson learned. When you’re financing a car, especially a new car, make sure you have full coverage and GAP is a must! Just add the GAP insurance because you really never know when some idiot is gonna hit you. That’s what I really hate. You can be a careful driver all you want, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get smashed by someone else. It bothers me when I see people driving recklessly. You’re more than welcome to kill yourself but when you hurt other people, that’s a BIG problem. So if you drive all crazy, you’re an idiot. Speeding and going in and out of lanes…news flash, I’m still behind you. You didn’t get very far. You should be the one hurt and not others. Why is it that a drunk driver normally survives and the others die? Makes no damn sense.

Anyway, yes…GAP insurance a must. It will cover whatever the insurance won’t cover so you aren’t out any immediate cash. Just a car 😦 Rental car add on is a must when you don’t have another car available to you. If you’re the one who cause the accident anyway. But look at me, I should have rental car now. I wasn’t at fault and I’m still waiting around driving a car that looks  so hurtful. And, if you can get insurance through a company like AAA or Allstate, sign! When something goes wrong, you won’t have to stress out like I’ve had to. It wasn’t even my fault but I’m paying the price. My car that I bought brand new has depreciated a whole lot now.  I missed work (attendance hit and they fire you for being late or absent X amount times). I’m stiff and sore, my car looks like crap, I’m waiting around for my adjuster on day 4, and I pretty much had to take care of everything.  But I did have help…XOXO. Not by my insurance company though. I was so overwhelmed.

Pay a little more money. It will ease your pain when your car is ruined. You’ll still be ticked, but at least your insurance company will make it as comfortable as possible for you.

I won’t say which company I’m with. I’ll go onto review sites instead. I won’t be calling out any names on my blog. Jerks.
