“Awaken the giant within.” Tony Robbins
My life has been a mission of dreams. Or shall I say goals. I set one goal, then I accomplish it. Then I set another one and so on. I’ve failed, many times. I’ve also succeeded, many times. Ah, the hard lessons of life.
I’ll be tuning 34 in a few weeks. Every year I reflect. This year it’s no different. 12 months from now, I’ll reflect again. BUT, I’ll be on a whole new level. It’s time.
This year is an expansion year for everyone. I pray that all of you will make the most of it.
I just finished watching Being Maryjane, season 2 on Netflix. Ironic. She’s trying to be real with herself. Fixing relationships, letting go of what no longer serves her purpose. Exfoliating. She starts to follow her heart, being true to what matters to her. MJ has come to that place where she needs to be authentic. But she takes that promotion and gives up what she was trying to build. Why? It’s the next step. It makes sense. Not what her heart truly desires but there are other factors that she needs to consider. Her partner, her lifestyle. It’s hard to just put all that on the line for a future that is filled with so much uncertainty. We’d all love to do what we love but not everyone is willing to pay us to do what we love.
I find myself in the same situation. Figuratively speaking that is. That girl is a little crazy for me, lol. Ladies, watch that show. Hard working women, you’ll get it.
I’m at the crossroads right now. I know I’m being taking to a place where things will never be the same again.
The calling, the purpose…I know what it is. Just gotta put in the work and meet the universe half way.
My son is growing too fast. Mothers, you know what that’s like. And single mothers, with only one child…you really know how I feel. We’re talking drivers licence and college. 😦
Past relationships/people, I’ve done the work. Now I’m ready to put it all behind me. I know now, I have the answers I so desperately needed before.
Monday mornings…I refuse to keep dreading you. A lot of us need to stop this Monday morning mentality. So, starting right now, I’m going to control my thoughts.
My plan, lol. Every Sunday I will make a list for the week. Things I need to do to get closer to my goals. A clear, concise list. This way when Sunday night approaches, I will go to bed knowing I have a game plan set for the week and the sooner Monday comes, the closer I get to living the life I am meant to live. My weekends, I try to keep that open for fun 🙂 We all need a balance of work and play. As Jim Rohn puts it, “Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”
Good night now, hola Monday morning 🙂
Bravo! Wonderful idea!
