It’s time for me to advance to the next level. I’m not exactly sure which direction to go first. I have so many platforms I’m running on.
It’s back to school for me. I’ve decided to get my Liberal Arts degree. If you’re wondering what that is, here’s a mini description from Wikipedia 🙂
Mathematics, science, arts, and language can all be considered part of the liberal arts. Some subsections of the liberal arts are trivium—the verbal arts: logic, grammar, and rhetoric; and quadrivium—the numerical arts: arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy. Analyzing and interpreting information is also studied.
- Visual Arts
- Great Books
- Political science
- Religious studies
- Natural Science
- Social Science
- Performing arts
Liberal Arts isn’t so much a career choice, it’s more about complementing my pro-folio. A job is a job, it pays the bills. I am more interested in personal growth. These topics I enjoy, except the math -_- Becoming more knowledgeable interests me more than my paycheck. Why? Eventually I’ll be doing what I love for a living. And that my friends, is the greatest thing in the entire world. Besides raising my son of course. I’m in the process of studying for my assessment test, wish me luck!
Today I finally went form WordPress.com to WordPress.org. I have to give credit to WPBeginner for helping me switch over my blog. I rather not do it myself. It gets confusing and I rather not waste my time. Time is valuable!
Why switch from .com to .org? Easy, I own my site 100%. It’s all my content and any revenue I make will be ALL mine. Plus, waaay more widgets!
Another project is to learn how to play the piano. Writing music has been one of my biggest dreams. I guess it’s time to be a doer and not just a dreamer.
Volunteer….I really would like to volunteer at the local Recreational Center. With my son starting school again and basketball, I’m not exactly sure how much time I have for that. It’s a big commitment and I’d have to have the free time. We’ll see. This year is a big year for my son because he is being groomed for high school. I need to make sure he’s on top of it.
Last but not least, my house. There is plenty of work that needs to be done that will keep me busy for a life time it seems. I purchased an older home and that means there are a lot of updates that need to be done. Sighs….what a headache. But, it’s a cute little house and I made sure to stay within a reasonable budget. It may not be spanking big and brand new and not in the best neighborhood, but I take pride in becoming a home owner on my own. At the age of 30 🙂 So up yours to the haters!
So that’s it for now. I’ll be pretty busy and I will definitely be writing about it!
