You guys have all heard this before right? >>> Believe and you shall receive <<<
If you think positive, you’ll have positive outcome.
You control how you feel.
The universe gives you what you ask for.

We’ll I don’t believe that’s always the case. I mean yes, we have some control in regards to how we feel and how our day goes. But lets face it, sometimes it’s a bunch of bullshit. Sometimes it’s hard. Life is a combination of joy, stress, pain and responsibilities. We’re given free will, free thinking… and THAT- sometimes is the problem. Our brain goes all kinds of crazy.
How easy is it to disappear away bills? Don’t stress, don’t let it ruin your day…just think positive. Let it go, there is nothing you can do. With all this said, it’s still not so easy to not stress.
I just got interrupted while I was writing this post. You wouldn’t believe how the universe works. Amazing. At work, out facility supervisor does his rounds in the office. Says hello, how was your weekend, etc…
Our conversation…
“How was your weekend?” he asks. The conversation goes on….
My weekend, was OK. His, was interesting, to me anyways. He had a couple of kids from the church over Friday and Saturday. A teenage boy and his young daughter. He proceeded to tell me he taught the boy how to mow the lawn and wash the car. I was like WOW, my son is 13 and he knows how to wash my car. The lawn, still not there yet lol (but the boy is 16). He goes on to tell me the boy’s mom has never owned a car so he’s never had to wash one. The single mom life, it’s hard. Id know.
The boy was able to buy his very first basketball with the money he earned from mowing the lawn. Even though it wasn’t quite straight 🙂
“The mom must work a lot?” I asked.
“No, welfare, section 8.”
Both of us had a -OH, disappointed look. I told him I thought it was great what he was doing. Giving these children structure and exposure to a different kind of life. He proceeded to tell me that he wants them to know there is more out there, that they can have a different life. It was a good conversation. Led me to think about how I grew up and how my son’s childhood is so different from mine.
So, why did the universe conspire me to have this conversation? We don’t talk much, it’s usually a very simple hi and bye. I think it was to prove to me that the universe does work with us. Our emotions, our energy is a force that can be sensed. I am amazed at how sometimes things just don’t go my way then out of nowhere, my fortune changes. I’m writing, expressing myself because I’ve had such a rough month. The universe has intervened again and again it seems.
Believe and you shall receive?
Positive thinking alone isn’t going to do the trick. I know just by repeating things it won’t get better, being positive isn’t enough. It really does require action. Forced thinking, reminding yourself what you can control and can’t. Telling yourself to let go, or that you’re so much better off than others. You’ll have to dissect everything. A blueprint of what the problem is and how to get out of it. Problems need a course of action. Just like goals, we have to write them down. Be realistic and tackle one goal at a time. Just saying, thinking or asking the universe for help isn’t going to cut it. BUT, I believe if you keep an open mind, good things will come. The universe can help, disguised in many different forms.
The story I was told reminded me that things aren’t so bad. Life has many little battles. And for some, many large battles. We have to be strong and brave enough to fight it, to push through. If we don’t, if we lose all hope, then life is over. We’ll get bruised and even broken along the way…but we’ll come out stronger, smarter and appreciate being alive so much more. Everything, every encounter, every situation is a Lesson. Find the good in it, come out a better person. Who knows, maybe you’ll change the world. Heck, changing just one life alone is miraculous, even your own. When we’re good, when we feel good, when we’re empowered, great things happen. For the people around us and the world.
