I’m sorry I no longer want to be an event scheduled in your calendar. I no longer feel the need to reach out when there are so many strings attached.
I no longer want to squeeze into your space.
How many minutes, hours, days have you gained now that I’m no longer in your life?
I know you’re busy. But aren’t we all?
This is the truth…I am just not a priority. You see, your priorities are important. They are people and things you don’t neglect.
Breathing is a priority. Spending time with those you love is a priority. There is no penciling it in, there is just getting it done. Automatic. Like checking your phone in the morning.
We’re so foolishly busy. Focused on people and things that we probably won’t think about while laying on our death bed. And yet, we fumble through life making the same mistakes. Taking for granted the gifts that embark in our lives.
We’re all…so busy.
BUT – Pause for a minute…make that phone call. Set up that dinner date. Love, cherish and spend that time.
And remember, to pause often.
I give a lot of advice but this one…I really hope you listen to.
