Realistic Tips On Maintaining Your Ideal Weight

Health and fitness have always been a part of my life. I’m not diehard though. I get into moments where I’m working out daily for a couple of hours…juicing and eating great. Then I fall off and stop. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ Never for long periods of time though. As soon as I start noticing my face filling out, I put a stop to it 🤭 I’m not extremely disciplined but I am aware. I never let it get too far out of hand. Losing 10 pounds is way easier than losing 30.

Here are some of my tips…things that have worked for me through the years.

Life Is Short

I hate that today’s inspiration to post comes from a place of sadness. We all know the saying, “Life is short.” Why does it resonate so much more when someone dies?

We know we’re suppose to love as much as possible.  Say I love you everyday. Be kind and compassionate. We’re suppose to cherish each day.  Live life to the fullest. But we forget. Life gets so crazy and there is just so much to do that we forget to say I love you, we forget to smile.

Why does it take tragedy to open our eyes? When something does happen we’re aware for a short period of time and then it goes back to the same old sleep walking state of mind. What does it really take for someone to really get it? To really believe that life is short. Are you sleep walking?

I personally don’t want to lose someone close to me to actually realize it. I don’t want to wake up one day and find out I have cancer and then start really living my life. I’m sure you guys don’t want that either.

We need to make a conscious decision and stick with it. Better yet just make a choice and say I want to be alive and I want to be happy and I will do all the things that I want to do. Let’s stop stressing over the small things. Things that really have no significant impact on our life should be taken with a grain of salt. Just deal with it and move on. Let go, holding on to is just a burden. I understand that things need to get done, I’m a queen of wanting the house clean, wanting things in order…but I have to remind myself these things aren’t serious enough to be upset over. Maybe a little irritated, but it shouldn’t bring on negative emotions.

When you’re mad at certain people in your life, it’s hard not to stay mad for a long period of time but you should try to get over it. Work it out and move on. Anger can only get you so far. I myself, need to work on that. Love is great, great friendships are great, family and unconditional love is great. These great things should not be taken for granted. These great things should be cherished each and everyday.

Fear, I wrote about this in previous  posts as well as sleep walking. Does fear hold you back? Don’t do it. Don’t give into fear, don’t let it hold you back any longer. Don’t go through life just existing. Forget the status quo, forget conventional living. Who cares how others want you to live your life. Live it how you want to live it. If you’re happy and you’re living life in a happy and positive way, then who’s to tell you to be any different? Don’t let someone control your happiness. You weren’t brought into this world to be controlled. You were born to live, love, and make a difference. No matter how big or small, we all have it in us to be someone positive that impacts the lives of others. It be your child, friend or stranger.

Bottom line is, don’t let things become too late. It’s never really too late. Start reflecting on your life now. Happiness is defined by you, everyone sees it differently so live your life by your terms, your way. Life is short, stop wasting it.

If this post has helped you a little, please pass it on to someone else that might find it helpful. Help someone else realize what you and I have realized.

Please don’t forget and go back to the same old existing. When you find yourself reverting back, find this post again. Make it a point to remember that life is short.

Take care of yourself and those around you.
