Realistic Tips On Maintaining Your Ideal Weight

Health and fitness have always been a part of my life. I’m not diehard though. I get into moments where I’m working out daily for a couple of hours…juicing and eating great. Then I fall off and stop. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ Never for long periods of time though. As soon as I start noticing my face filling out, I put a stop to it 🤭 I’m not extremely disciplined but I am aware. I never let it get too far out of hand. Losing 10 pounds is way easier than losing 30.

Here are some of my tips…things that have worked for me through the years.

(If you’re trying to lose a lot of weight, then you have to be on a strict diet and workout regularly. There is no way around it. Besides lipo.)

The #1 easiest way – eat everything. BUT…more good than bad.

#2 Reasonable proportions. Is your food going to get up and run away?

I will have cookies, fast food every now and then. More so on the weekends (but that doesn’t mean 3 meals of takeout on Saturday and Sunday. More like one). M-F…I eat foods good for my body. More veggies, minimal carbs, and sugar.

#3 when it comes to working out, I target a few days a week of cardio and weights. No fancy machines either.

Cardio…I love to dance, so I dance lol These are my tools. You see…nothing fancy. AND, I literally have no space but can still make it work. Sometimes my elbows will bang up against my closet doors though 😑

My yoga mat is great for my planks and all my stretching. They are very simple yet effective workouts you can do. If you’re not about hardcore toning and six-pack driven, then these will work just fine.

I don’t strive for the perfect body anymore. I feel and look my best at 115-118 pounds. That is ideal for my body structure and height. I’m strict with staying under 120. So if you have an ideal weight for yourself…that when you look in the mirror you’re happy with, use that as a law for yourself. Like, stop lights. Green is when I’m in perfect harmony. Yellow is when I’m at 118. Red is when I’m over 120, STOP. It works well for me. My scale broke a while ago and I haven’t gotten a new one. And I know that’s why my face has filled out 🤭 But I also feel way more drained than normal. That was another indicator that I’m not aligned.

Everyone has different methods that work and don’t work for them. The key is to find something that works with you and your lifestyle.

Wealth is in your health. If you feel like shit, you’re not going to perform at your highest level. It will be just mediocre.

You feel good, you look good. Period. How many more years of wishing are you going to do? You can’t control whether the government shuts down or not…but you can control your health and weight. If you’re not feeling energetic most of the time, there is a problem. And if you don’t like how you look in the mirror, that is also a problem. Please, raise your standards. Love yourself enough to care for yourself.

So put on some music and shake your tail feather.
