I hope that you let go…
Let go of mistakes you made. Maybe you reacted badly and hurt someone. Maybe you had a little too much to drink one night and screwed up your presentation the next morning. Maybe you failed an exam or cheated on your boyfriend. As troubling as it may have been for you...you royally fucked up…forgive yourself and let go. We can’t change what’s been done.
Let go of him or her that leaves you feeling lonely more than loved. If someone wholeheartedly loves you, they wouldn’t leave your texts unanswered. They wouldn’t make excuses. If someone really wanted you, trust me dear…they would be with you. Let that loneliness go because you are worthy of authentic, true love.
Let go of friends that you once loved but grew apart from. Not everyone is destined to travel the same roads. As you evolve, things around you will change.
Let go of the thought that things stay the same. Nothing…stays the same.
Let go of aspirations and career choices that no longer resonate with you. You may have wanted to be an author then, but now, you find yourself pulled to photography. That job you worked so hard for, it has lead to endless days of stress. Maybe you’re actually not cut out for the job after all.
If it no longer is fitting for you, let it go…whatever it may be.
Who said it wasn’t okay to change your mind?
What I hope for you in 2019…
I hope you make more mistakes and learn from them. And get even better.
I hope you find true love, within yourself. That is the ultimate love.
I hope you build solid and strong friendships. Friends that share your commonality. Friends who aren’t just friends but your soul family. An ethereal connection.
I hope you allow yourself to be open to the possibilities. When one door closes, another will always open.
I hope that you are brave.
I hope that you take risks and continue to work towards who you’re meant to be.
I hope that when God/Universe seems to have let you down and you place blame, I pray you to come out of it quickly because you’ve learned that mishaps of life are just that…a part of life.
I hope you wake up every morning with positive affirmations. With gratitude….that you are still alive.
I hope you make it your morning routine.
I hope you realize that there is no finish line. That there will always be something to do. Something will always be happening. Working, laughing, dancing, falling in love, enduring pain, helping another soul…this my friend, is the circle of life.
I hope you continue to be the light no matter how dark the world may get.
I hope all of this and so much more for us coming into 2019.
